Engineering and Construction on the Moon

This short course is designed for engineers and researchers who are planning to participate in various engineering and construction aspects on the moon. The course will begin with an overview of lunar environmental conditions and then focus on several intellectually enriching topics, including lunar habitats; architecture, design and analysis considerations and construction challenges; material development for lunar construction; utilization of local resources; construction techniques; and infrastructure development and planning. It is intended especially for civil engineers working in space and extraterrestrial endeavor and aerospace engineers working on surface site preparation, construction and mining in extraterrestrial bodies.
