Important Earth & Space Conference Update

ASCE is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation both internationally and domestically with guidance from federal, state and local governments and health officials, including the CDC and WHO, in determining whether to cancel, move to virtual, or postpone scheduled events.

Due to COVID-19, the Earth & Space conference has been postponed to April 2021. The call for abstracts has been reopened to strengthen our program with additional papers. Abstracts of maximum 500 words are sought to be submitted by May 31. Full 6-10 page papers will be due by July 17 for peer review and Final papers by August 14. To accommodate industry publication practices, at the time of the paper submission, a request for presentation only can be submitted.

NOTE TO CURRENT AUTHORS: If you are a current author and your paper has already been through the review process, you may make updates to your paper provided your final, updated paper is submitted no later than August 14. Current accepted papers do not need to go through the entire abstract/paper submission process again.

Early Bird Registration Discount (EB)

Don’t miss out! Register early and receive the best savings. Registrations online or by form (PDF), must include complete payment and be received by this date to qualify for the Early Bird registration discount.

Advance Registration Discount (ADV)

ASCE invites registrants to take advantage of an advance registration discount. Registration online or by form (PDF), must include complete payment information, and must be received by this date to qualify for the advance registration discount.

On-Site Registration (ONS)

Please do not mail registration forms through the U.S. Postal Service after in order to ensure your registration is processed by the deadline. After this date, registrations must be secured with a credit card. If you are paying by credit card, please register online or download the PDF registration form and submit it onsite along with your complete credit card payment.

Confirmation of Registration

Confirmations will be emailed to all Early Bird and Advance registrants within 5 business days of registering for the conference. Online registrants should receive immediate notification following submission of the registration information. Preregistered attendees will receive their name badges and any tickets ordered at the on-site ASCE Registration Desk during open registration hours.

Recording of Sessions

Video or audio recording of any educational session is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from both ASCE and the session presenter(s).

Release/Waiver/Special Assistance

Photograph Release: By submitting my complete registration, I hereby release any photographs that may be incidentally taken of me during the conference by ASCE to be used for any purpose.

Liability Waiver: By submitting my registration, I agree and acknowledge that I am undertaking participation in ASCE events and activities at my own free and intentional act, and I am fully aware that possible physical injury might occur to me as a result of my participation. I give this acknowledgment freely and knowingly that I am, as a result, able to participate in ASCE events, and I do hereby assume responsibility for my own well being. I also agree not to allow any other individual to participate in my place.

ADA Compliance

The Renaissance Seattle Hotel is fully accessible to the disabled. If you require special assistance at the convention, please submit a written description of your requirements with your registration form or email [email protected] before March 18, 2020. While ASCE will make every effort to meet the needs of the disabled, accommodations cannot be guaranteed without prior notification.

Acceptable forms of payment include:

  • Check: payable to ASCE/Earth & Space 2020 (In U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank - you must include attendee’s name in the memo area of the check)
  • Credit card: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, and Discover
  • Purchase order: P.O. #, company name & address or other billing address (This includes Government P.O. use) – a copy of this P.O. must be submitted to Customer Service when you register

To receive a full refund, cancellations must be received by ASCE in writing by March 25, 2020. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after March 25, 2020. Send cancellations to [email protected] or fax to 866-902-5593.

In recognition of the travel challenges posed by the on-going COVID-19 outbreak, attendees residing in countries with a CDC Level 2 or Level 3 designation needing to cancel should contact ASCE Customer Service. 

Program & Session Cancellation

ASCE reserves the right to cancel programs, events, and/or sessions because of low registration. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, all registrants will be notified and will receive a full refund, if applicable. Programs and Sessions are subject to change, and ASCE reserves the right to substitute a program, session, and/or speaker of equal caliber to fulfill the educational requirements.
